DJ Th'Elf
Ontario Canada

Addicted to the scene since the mid-eighties, Th'Elf began specializing in providing music to eclectic gathers. Now with a couple of decades under his belt, he has residencies across SouthWestern Ontario as well as guesting throughout the New England and MidWest areas of the US from New York to New Orleans and back again. His style is diverse and adaptable, blending classic goth, industrial, EBM, dark electronic and more as he focuses on the dancefloor and covers the gamut in dark alternative with the occasional surprise thrown in for fun.

festival debut in NYC at Endless Night 2005. Despite being largely type-cast into
old-school goth & deathrock roles, he takes pride in his exceptionally diverse
taste in music and unparalleled CD collection. This gives him great flexibility to
adapt his style to compliment that of his co-DJs, and the ability to shift genres at
breakneck speed without trainwrecking. He believes new music is the lifeblood

Saturday and Sunday Daytime Event DJs: New Haven Spotlight

DJ Mange
New Haven CT

First taking to the airwaves in 1996, Mange quickly switched to club DJing a mix of gothic, deathrock, punk, and occasional psychobilly.  Rumors about of him also doing occasionally sets of noise, metal, anarcho/crust punk, and oi mixed together with a light, flaky pastry crust.  Appearing at Convergence 10 in Chicago, as well as New York and LA's Drop Dead Festivals, Mange has also been a house DJ for New World Church (CT), Corrosion (CT), New York Decay (NYC), Carfax Abbey (NYC), and Distortion (CT), among others.  His newest event is Theatro Del Scassa in Hartford, CT.  He is known for playing tons of requests in exchange for copious amounts of cider.

DJ Phil Phaid
New Haven CT

Originally hailing from Louisiana, Phil Phaid spins classic goth, deathrock, and darkwave.  He started DJing in 1998 in Lexington, Kentucky, spinning at events in that area's small but energetic scene. After relocating to Connecticut in 2000, he accumulated numerous guest appearances, first in Connecticut and then branching out into NYC and New Jersey.  His efforts won him a residency at FluX, the largest and longest-running goth/industrial night in Connecticut, where he spun from 2004 to 2006.  His sets are firmly grounded in old school gothic rock, updated with modern deathrock and darkwave acts who maintain the classic gothic aesthetic.
DJ Ratboy
New Haven CT

Although DJ Ratboy is relatively new to being behind the mixers he is definitely not new to the scene.  Clubbing since 1988 and doing some radio in college.  He has emerged out of a purely selfish need to hear and spin some of the great old school music out there.
DJ Ratboy can be heard at FLUX  in New Haven, CT’s longest running and only weekly Gothic/Industrial/EBM night.  At ETHOS New Haven’s newest monthly event featuring only Hardline Industrial.  As well as NECROPOLIS in Stamford every 3 weeks spinning industrial, punk and new wave.
DJ Death In Jim
New Haven CT

In the summer of 1998, Death in Jim got his first radio show on WESU Middletown.  With roots in traditional goth, Death in Jim plays first and second wave goth, first wave industrial, first wave punk, all flavors of deathrock and the occasional spattering of new wave.  He is a resident DJ at FLuX in New Haven, still hosts a weekly radio program, and has made guest appearances in Boston, NYC and a smattering of other New England events.  He will play almost any request when bribed with Guinness. Jim does a radio show Thursdays from 10pm til 11:30pm on WESU.

DJ Nitez
New Haven CT

F
or over 2 years DJ Nitez has been spinning across the east coast as an underground goth/raver DJ. Since mid 2004 he has been working his way through raves and goth events including Gothstock, Connecticon 2004 & 2005; The "punk-metal-goth fest", and various events with east coast's Breaksteal Productions. In late 2005 DJ Nitez joined the industrial band "Intricate Unit" as the keyboard player, thus showing his talents in other places as well. Currently Nitez is juggling his DJ career as well as his live performance career (which also includes a secret side project Nitez is currently working on). Nitez personal style is harsh techno-industrial so expect some high energy dark industrial beats.
